We aim to improve mental health and combat social isolation through fitness, sport, movement and play.
We do this through year-round accessible events and activities that are centred around moving to feel good whilst becoming proactive about mental health and fostering positive connections.
Improving mental health is at the heart of what we do.
We are passionate about resourcing our participants with tools and strategies to build resilience, support their own mental wellbeing and encouraging connections across communities, boosting support networks.
Mental health is not simply a ‘tag on’ for us, it is at the centre of all we do as an organisation.
Our staff team, including fitness professionals, all undergo rigorous training in our methods to help foster a safe space, where play, spontaneity, creativity and mindfulness is utilised to create bonds between participants and help participants to identify and manage their own needs.
We work alongside NHS partners, Mental Health professionals and local organisations to support individuals through our work.
Exercise is a powerful tool in improving mental wellbeing and mental health with studies showing that it can reduce anxiety and the symptoms of depression, improve mood, self esteem and cognitive function. It also has the power to connect people and bring people together, helping to combat social isolation and loneliness in our communities.
We have been lucky to have been funded and supported on our journey by Model City London, a partnership between Laureus Sport for Good, Nike and the Mayor of London, aimed at improving social integration through sport.
We have delivered programmes across estates, parks, leisure centres, schools and community settings, hosted virtual challenges and live streamed workouts, supported projects in partnership with other organisations and mental health support provision.
